The Dopyeras - John E. Dopyera and Margaret Lay-Dopyera - are retired, residing in Ithaca, New York,
and are living examples of the quip, "being re-tired means getting
tired again."
In their retirement, the Dopyeras have found many ways to use their
broad repertoire of skills developed across many years of diverse
efforts. DOBRO and NATIONAL guitar heritage, education, assessment,
pastel drawing, building design and construction, and writing -- these are just a few of their long-standing
interests and preoccupations.
